Before starting a project, we almost always start with a moodboard as a foundation for the feeling behind a particular space. The goal is to bring a project into focus, and allow the moodboard inform design choices moving forward. Interpretation of the imagery should never be taken too literally and are certainly not meant to be duplicated.
Moodboards also serve as an alternative way to communicate the design intentions with the client, before deep-diving into the world of planning.
Here's a moodboard we prepared for a client. Execution of this project is in the works, so you'll just have to sit tight to see how it pans out.
